Meaning of Our Home

Home to me is my mom, my dad, my sister, and I all cozy and warm. In my room with memories from years. My home is a place of protection from the world. My home is a place of faith and love. If you step into our home you can feel it. You can feel the prayers in every wall. The prayers that have been answered and are still waiting for an answer. If you sit in my living room you'll find my family sitting, praying and reading the Bible. My faith started right there in the living room. Home is a place of laughter and joy. But when I'm sad I run to the safety of my home. In the kitchen is the biggest memory of all, my first steps. Around the house you'll see pictures of events and people that love us. When I look at the pictures on the fridge they come to life as if I’m there again. In our family room there is one picture that stands out to me the most, my moms wedding picture. It was of my mom and her dad at my parents wedding day. I can feel all the emotions, like the happy ones and the sad ones. My sister has this warm feeling of home. When I see her I’m reminded of the time when me and her had a sister sleepover. When we had that sleepover we laughed so much that we started crying. My family is the most important part of my home. They’re the people I want to come home to after a long day. My mom is the person I will run to when I have a question, when I am sad or I need a hug. I love my home.
