Home

Home is the country. With trees all around, where I feel happy safe and sound. Home is where my family is and all our animals too. The kitchen where we sit and eat and all the homemade foods that smell so great. My mum’s homemade bread and my dad’s homemade burgers. It’s some of the best food in the world. The living room is where we watch movies, play and eat homemade popcorn with melted butter on top. Me and my twin brother Eamon’s bedroom is where we have most of our toys like Lego, army men and our cap guns. Down at the end of the upstairs hallway, we have one of the best rooms of all: the hangout room. It’s where we play videogames and air hockey with a dart board up on the wall along with posters, drawings and my homemade bow. This is my favourite room of all. Home is where I have lots of room outside to play. In the summer we play with army men and run around our property and go to our lake. In the winter we have lots of good hills for sledding on. Sometimes we slide down the laneway, which is the hill going up to the field or the small hill by the greenhouse. The best place to sled is down the driveway. It goes super fast, but you have to stop at the bottom, so you don’t go out on the road. So that’s it. That’s the place I will always call home and the place that will always be my home.
