What Home Means to Me

Some people say that there is no difference between a home and a house. Oh! But there sure is. A home is where you feel safe and is a place where we create cherished memories. Whereas a house can be a mansion and there are no feelings or attachments and no good memories because it’s simply bricks and mortar. A house with all the amenities such as numerous bathrooms, walls, rooms, and a roof. A home is where I feel the most comfortable. A home is a space where I can be my true self. A place where I can kick off my sweaty shoes, and lay on the couch, where I can run around in my pjs and not worry what I look like. But if there is no love, no making beautiful memories, or don’t have a supportive family, then the best of material things dose not bring happiness. So, the next time someone asks you, is there a difference between a house and a home? you tell them, there SURE is! A house is a physical structure, and a home is an emotional sanctuary.
