What Home Means to Me

Home is where I make all my memories with friends and family. Home is where I can express myself, leave my shoes were ever I want, watching T.V at full volume. Prank call and staying until 5:00 am. Relaxing on my couch without a care in the world. Walking up that one squeaky step, laying on my bed after a vacation. All these things make me feel safe. Home is like a forcefield for me it protects me from the real world. Its were I don’t need my mask on. This forcefield has memories floating around all around it, curling as I make more. Without all these memories my home wouldn’t be a home, it would be a structure that has objects not feelings, not happiness, not family just a structure. Without all these moments I would know my way around but I wouldn’t have the happiness I wouldn’t smile walking down the stairs on Christmas morning or running around because I was playing tag with piper and Alfie because I wouldn’t have the moments or the memories.
