My Home

When I was born, we lived with my Nana Jack (dad's mom). Then she had to move because the house was not safe for her, so we moved in with my Nan (mom's mom). Then my mom and dad got enough money to buy a home. They were so excited to move, so we moved right away. With the leftover money, we bought a car, four dogs and three snakes. We loved it! Then a few years later, my Nan had to move in with us for a while. One night I was sleeping and my nan was going to her room, which is downstairs and she fell down the stairs. My mom and dad went to see what happened and my mom called the hospital. A few days later, she was sent to a nursing home. We were all sad, but it was for the best. Everything was going great! My mom opened up lots of daycares, my dad's job was great and I had lots of friends. We all loved it, but then the snakes died and we were all sad. We had to get over it, so we got a cat. He was really small and we all loved him. It was the best because we were all healthy, even the animals. A few years later, I’m in grade 5 now, but then my dog died. We all knew it was coming, so we gave him chocolate and his favourite treats like peanut butter and pumpkin treats. We were all sad, but we got better. Everyone's home is not the best, but that is all we can do. I would like to thank Habitat for Humanity for everything they do for people who need help to have a safe home.
