House and Home

Name: Betto Ogunbayo Grade: 4 Age: 9 Years old School: RC GARNETT DEMONSTRATION ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Title: House and Home I live in a cozy house with my family. My house is painted white. It has three bedrooms with a large living room, and a big compound where I love to play. It keeps me warm when it is cold outside and dry when it rains. It has a kitchen where my mom cooks tasty meals and two bathrooms. This is the physical structure of my house, built with bricks and wood. However, my house becomes a “home” because of the people inside it. It is a home because my family lives there together, laughing, eating and sharing stories. When I am at home, I feel safe, happy and loved. My parents and my three brothers are the most loving people on earth. They shower me with so much love. I feel safe, happy and loved when I am at home. My home is filled with memories like playing board games in the living room with my brothers, helping my mom in the kitchen, playing games on my computer and watching movies on weekends, especially on Saturday nights. A house is just a place, but a home is a feeling. No matter how big or small a house is, it is the love and memories we make inside that make it a special home. I am thankful for my house and the loving home it has become. Home is not just where you live in, it is where your memories are held.
