The Best Place

Sofia Cano Div 4 Grade 4 Age 10 The Best Place Home is a special place where you feel calm, safe and comfortable. Home is any place you want, even a cage is a home. In the living room, the bright hot sun is shining through my big glass window. I can feel the fresh flower scent in my small shady garden. The green trees flowing with the wind, like if they were dancing. The sun is now hiding behind the big snowy mountains, beautiful gray spongy clouds are in the big colorful sky. Everything is now light red, base yellow, and light orange pink. When I go outside, I feel the wind has gotten colder and harder, sunset has arrived. When I am in my tiny room, I can hear my dads loud typing fingers on the clicky keyboard, the dishwasher cleaning the delicate glass plates and my mom leaving the floors spotless and shiny. I love my mom’s fresh flower perfume, and my dad’s minty breath when he talks. I have a great time being with them. Tonight, I smell the tasty and warm tamales scent in the kitchen and hear the frying oil of the meaty crunchy golden tacos in the metal pan. When I taste the sweet and hot tamales, they melt in my mouth. Plus, It's fun crunching the delicious tacos. It is cozy watching the bright gigantic moon floating in the sky, outside our home, it is kind of like a big ball of cheese taken a bite out of. Home is any place anywhere, not because it's a shelter, it's because family is there to support you.
