Meaning of Home

Emma Yule Grade: 4 Age: 9.5 Meaning of Home Home is a place that makes you feel happy and peaceful. A home is a place where memories are made . A home is a place where you feel safe, makes you feel calmness, a place where you belong and can be yourself. At home I see a comfortable couch with soft and cozy blankets where we sit as a family, my, Mom, Dad, sister and myself in our beautiful living room. I can smell the nice fresh baked cookies that my mom made in our beautiful kitchen, it smells so good I can taste the nice homemade cookies that Mom made with love. I hear laughter from my family, birds chirping, and rain falling all from the comfort of my home. I feel happy when I am with my family like my Mom, my Dad, my sister and my brother. I feel peaceful when I smell the good food Mom makes in our kitchen, I feel comfortable on the couch watching movies with my family in our cozy living room and most of all I feel loved and safe when I am with my family in our beautiful home. That is what home means and I hope everyone can have a home and be happy, and feel safe and loved. And I am grateful for my home and I hope that my story can help Habitat for Humanity .
