What is Home to You?

Home has many different things like shelter but its more than that its family and family looks like happiness, feels like safety, smells like culture, family tastes flavorful, family sounds loud but calm too. A basement is not just four walls and some furniture; it is more than that it feels safe, it smells old, it looks dark, it tastes like air, it sounds like silence. A backyard is not just an open place; it feels warm, it smells like flowers, it looks beautiful, it sounds like birds chirping, it tastes fresh. A shower is not just water and a curtain; it feels like rain, it tastes like water, it sounds like echo's, it smells like lemons, it looks hot and cold. Entertainment is not just a PS five or a deck of cards; it is hanging out with your family, it is laughter, it is happiness. A kitchen is not just an area to make or eat food; it is culture, memories and a happy place. A bed is not just a place to sleep; it is a place for dreams, thoughts, comfort and a happy place to do anything. All the things I listed are sentimental to other people in different ways, like to me they all mean a safe place, fun, healthy, happy, loving, beautiful and home. I could have listed so many other things, but I chose those because those are my top seven favorite rooms or places in my house and they are all a different meaning to me. And that is what home means to me.
