My Magical Home
Home is not just a building with walls and bricks. Home is where I feel safe to be myself and where my family’s laughter fills the room. Everyday after school the smell of my mom making chai fills the house. It’s like an alarm to alert me that it’s time to sit down, drink chai, and make memories.
But it’s not just the place that makes it feel like home, it’s the people. When my dad enters, the fun begins. He tells us many jokes. We laugh until water comes from our eyes. My mom helps me with my homework. My sister has a very funny sense of humour and always makes me laugh. My brother loves to make me mad and annoy me.
One funny memory is one time my dad tried to microwave a boiled egg because it got cold. He put it in for 30 seconds, and when he took it out, the egg exploded. The egg went everywhere on me, on the ceiling, on the windows, and all over the kitchen. Even though it was messy, we couldn’t stop laughing.
For me home is my first school. My parents are my first teachers. It’s where I learn from watching them. They teach me respect, honesty, and responsibility through words and actions. These lessons help shape the person I am becoming.
I used to think home is just a building that I live in. But now I know it’s something you feel and carry in your heart with you wherever you go.
Home is where I’ve grown up, learned lessons, and made memories I’ll never forget. To me, home isn’t just a building. It’s the place where I feel loved, understood, and happy.
