My Meaning of Home

Home is like a comfy blanket rapped around me. Home is my happy place but, it is also where my family is. It’s where I'm also given not so great advice. Home is also where my mom makes her amazing banana bread. Home is family. It’s where the chaos is. It’s also when my chaotic family is rushing to get ready to go somewhere when were late. Home is my everything. But it’s also my safe place. Home is where the laughter is but it’s also where I’m dying of laughter for absolutely no reason at all. It’s where we create memories like the first day of school, me and my family painting rocks or even when we moved into the house we live in now on my baby brothers first b-day. A home might also be filled with stuff but, it’s those around you who make it an actual home. Anyone can have a house but, when it’s yours it becomes a home and no one can change that. My home is where I can truly be myself. It’s when we have movie nights with popcorn and chips when we have game nights. These are the reasons why a home isn’t just a house but a home.
