My Home Is a Happy Place!

My home is a place to speak up. My sister and I hang out a lot when she is home, and we go to the mall to spend time together when she doesn’t have work. We play lots of games because we like to win, but we also get too competitive. I also have a home in Trinidad, where most of my family lives, so it doesn’t matter where you’re from—you can still have a home wherever you go. Home is like a cozy hug, where we share memories and stories together. When we see a family member sad, we like to cheer each other up by making jokes and playing games. It’s not just the place that makes it a home; it’s the people who make it a home. When you have a home, it feels like being in a dream because it’s full of love. Your home can be messy, and you don’t have to be happy all the time, but you can still be yourself, and no one can stop you from feeling happy at home. You can have so many problems at home that jump on you, and even scratch you, but you still love it because it’s your home. No matter what happens, home is still in your heart and follows you everywhere. So, thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for working with us and making this possible.
