Home

Some people think of home and say, "It's just a roof with walls”, but it's not just that, it's a place where I go to after a long day of school. It's where I spend my time with family and friends, where I make my best memories. I think of home like a jar, a jar that holds my memories and I can open that jar to remember those memories in my home. But it’s not just the things inside your home. It's also the people inside your home like your family and friends. It's a safe place where I can be myself and that I have people that love me, people that care for me. These people bring me joy and happiness. Home keeps me safe and the people inside my home keep me safe too. The rooms inside my home are important too. My room is where I mostly spend my time but when I’m not in my room, I’m with my family. We play games together and we all eat dinner together at the table. My brother teases me and plays games with me. He also tells me jokes to make me laugh. My parents make sure I feel loved everyday before and after school and they buy me things that make me happy like books. Home can’t be just a place. It can be people too like my friends. My friends bring me joy and cheer me up when I'm sad, they play with me at school and at home too. They make me laugh hard when we are playing. They give me my best memories and I feel very safe when I'm with them. This is what home means to me. I can open that jar anytime to remember memories inside my home.
