Home Isn't Just A House To Me

Home isn't just a house to me. It’s a place where we have fun, joy, laughter, happiness, and the most important of all, home is spending time with your family. Everyday when I come back home from school, I can smell the yummy dal bhat (it's a Nepali dish) when I step in the warm air. Even some days I don't want to eat my moms food. I will still feel bad for her because she worked really hard so I don't starve. At the dining table where we eat my mom’s food, we all turn off our devices. Even if we get important calls, we will never answer. This is how we spend time with our family instead of being distracted on our phones which I love doing because we have so much joy and fun talking. When I'm ever bored I will go to my sister and ask if we can play some games on our devices but home isn't just happiness. Sometimes there are sad parts which are ok because when I ask her she always says “I have to study’’ which is totally ok because since she is soon gonna graduate she has to work which I'm sometimes sad about but just saying I get it. Every weekend me and my family have a movie night and we love it because we spend so much time laughing and making jokes. We spend lots of time together because everyone is always busy on weekdays. This is why home isn't just a house to me.
