What Home Means to Me

Home… If it was up to me, I wouldn't be anywhere but home. At home I feel comfortable and safe, but outside, I feel like I'm not. Home isn't just a place with walls and a roof, It's a safe place to be. It's made out of love and care. To me home is like, the shell of a turtle's back. Home is filled with memories. It's the place where I make memories that last forever. The living room in my home is where my baby brother plays, I hear him giggle with joy. In the kitchen, my mom cooks Sri Lankan cuisine, I hear the sizzling sounds coming from the kitchen. In my study room, I draw, do my homework, and do math, I hear the sound of a pencil moving and an eraser erasing. In my bed room I like to sit on my bed and play on my IPad, I hear music coming from my IPad. Home is where I belong, because it is a safe and secure place. Home is important to me, because that's where my loved ones are. Even If I leave to a different house, it's still my home, because I bring my family with me. Home isn't a home, without your family in it.
