What Home Means to Me

I love my home because I feel joyful, calm and safe. My mom and dad make really delicious food. When I come home my cats are always at the front door waiting for me to pet them and feed them. When I go to sleep my cat Ginger comes on my bed and cuddles me. On weekends I wake up late and sit by the warm fire with cozy blankets. When I wake up in the morning and go to sleep at night my mom usually has a candle on, it smells like the fresh smell of cinnamon. My siblings love playing with me, my dad gives me piggie back rides. It's really exhilarating. Sometimes people are so caught up in their daily routines that they don't know what it would be like if they didn't have a home. If their pets did not greet or cuddle them, if their mom and dad did not cook for them, if their siblings were not there to play with them. That would be pretty frightening. A home is not just a house, it is where the heart is, where family lives. I think everybody should have a home where they can be loved and cared for. It does not matter what they look like, they can just be themselves. No matter what the people that you live with still care about you.
