The Meaning of Home

My home is more than a boring box. This is a place where I feel safe and calm. My home is a place where I have wonderful moments such as when I beat my dad in golf (on my Nintendo Switch). When I won I was so grateful! I was as happy as if I had won the lottery. When my mom cooks I just love the smell of the delicious spaghetti she cooks. Even though it might not always taste good, it smells very succulent. Every time I make my own food it’s normally a juicy medium rare steak or fried eggs. My home is basically never quiet well, that’s probably because I’m always talking or playing piano. One of my favourite things to do with my family is playing Nintendo. The exhilaration and laughter it brings to my home is my favourite part. It's just very fun. That’s why I like family time. It’s not the things that make my home special, it's the people who make my house a home that I trust and love. This is why I want to help the Habitat for Humanity so everyone can have a place to feel happy, loved, calm, and a place that they can trust without feeling concerned or frightened.
