The Meaning Of Home

Your house is wood, bricks, metal, concrete, steel, and much more! But your home is filled with love, care, kindness, trust, and colors. Your house is like cupcake batter, but your home is the icing, the sweet creamy texture with sprinkles on top. Right when you walk through that door, you feel your home greeting you with warmness and hugs even though there is no one there, but in your imagination you can feel that welcome home feeling. Inside my home I hear yelling, shouting, talking, whispering, stomping, and maybe even pets barking or meowing. I see people hugging, giving kisses, playing games, cooking, and sleeping. I smell my mom’s delicious cooking, baking, different spices, and even the air freshener!! When the word home comes up inside my brain, it makes me remember the cherishing and heart warming memories of my home. I also think of how home makes me have a sense of belonging, and makes me feel comfortable. My home is the place to feel comfortable, safe, accepted, and so much more!! Home is not just a structure. It is an emotional place. What makes home even more meaningful is knowing that it was built with compassion and hard work. And that, this home of my family and I, gave us courage and confidence that helped us solve our problems and live our best life. To me, no matter where life takes me, it will always starts and ends with family and home!😊
