What Home feels like to me

Feeling at home doesn’t always mean you’re in your house. Home can be at school, home can be outside with someone you love or care about deeply. Home is a place you feel comfortable sharing how you feel, a place you feel safe. At home no one will try to hurt you or make you feel uncomfortable. When you are at home you are able to talk about your day, whether good or bad, it’s a safe place to share. You can cry or laugh, you can feel however you like, say whatever you like, and think whatever you like. Sometimes it is quiet, sometimes it is loud, but both feel nice. For me, my parents always greet me at school when they pick me up, making me feel at home before I ever get to my house. When I arrive at my house after school, I put my backpack away and go over to the couch to share my day with my family. My home is my family and friends. My friends are always supportive of me and help me if I'm feeling sad or hurt. My family is always loving even during hard times, they support me in all the parts of my life.
