Fall
Long walks with my dog
Biking over crispy cunchy leaves
Breakfast on the porch with warm sun on my face
Waiting for the first fall of snow
The beginning of school blues
The smell of wood and pumpkin pie
Diving into freshly raked leaves-
Feeling sticks in my stomach
Trees that are full of life
Zombies and ghosts roam around free
Winter
Snow in my shoes-
walking down the driveway
Shivers running down my back
Snow bending the branches on my backyard trees
Fussing over Christmas trees
Frozen lakes with gliding skates
Snowmen that are imperfect but beautiful
The taste of snowflakes on my tongue
Being buried in the snow -
Until it feels like a warm blanket over me
Movies with the hottest hot chocolate
Spring
The sun yawning awake
Waiting for the snow to go
The fresh air I've been longing for
“Squish squash” under my feet
The bloom of the flowers in the ditch-
Picked for my parents
Climbing to the top of the rock pile-
Feeling like a lion
An awakening for all
Playing in the mud Splish splashing all over me
Summer
Schools out for the year
Fun is bound to happen
The bees buzzing with pride-
Like a little parade
Biking up hills
And down some
Swimming with the Algonquin ghosts
Lake water flowing in and out-
Off the shore
The crackling of fires putting me to sleep
Just for it to all happen again
