My Home

On the couch I see my black and white sheepadoodle called Samson perched on the side of the couch so he can patrol the house like a police officer making sure no intruders get in. This memory of home is important to me because it reminds me of how Samson is always there making home a safe place for me. In the distance I could hear Samson whining and pawing at my mom wanting attention. While in the basement I could hear my brother acting like a maniac when he lost his game. When I think about home I think about this because it reminds me of how even though it’s not perfect it's what home means to me. When I touched Samson's fur it was so light and fluffy. It was as soft as a cloud. I could have snuggled with him all day. This truly represents home to me because I know that samson makes me feel safe, Samson makes me feel calm and Samson is what makes me know that someone will always be there for me. Also it was hard to ignore the smell of my dad making his famous chocolate mice. They are such a good dessert with its crunchy frozen peanut butter middle with its nice chocolate covered outside. I am reminded by this because it helps me remember how in the kitchen we love baking together and making delicacies in the kitchen. After the chocolate mice were done I had one and like always they were delicious. I thought of this memory of home because it reminds me of how our desserts bring the family together which is what matters the most. But what's most important in the end is that Samson,my family, and friends is what home means to me.
