The Home That Is Mine
Home is a place where I can be myself. Home is a place where you can make memories. Memories like the time you got icing up your nose. Home is a place where you can make memories. The memories like movie nights or holiday dinners. At home you can smell amazing smells. They’re not always good, like mom’s tuna casserole. But, usually they’re amazing. At home you can eat the best foods. It’s not always good like Uncle Jeffrey's coleslaw. You can have fun times or sad times. But your family and friends are always there to surround you and care for you. Not everyone has family or friends, but we can always try to make the best of those situations. Every day I get home from school and I smell the delicious foods in the kitchen. Once dinner is ready it’s like a giant alarm to go sit eat and spend time with my family. The pictures on the wall tell stories, kinda like big books nailed to the wall. Pictures help tell stories like trips, holidays, and even big parties. Not all homes are perfect but every house tells a story. I bet Habitat for Humanity is building a home for someone right now. My home is like my secret base where I can recharge and play. My home is my happy place. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity.
