My Special Home
Dear Habitat for Humanity, this is what I think home means. I think home is a place where you feel loved, cared for, and respected. A home doesn't have to be your house, it could be your school, a sports place, your church, or anywhere you feel free to do things. Sometimes we can feel shut out or embarrassed. Home is a place where you don't have to worry about being shut out or embarrassed. Home is a place where you let your creativity shoot out like fireworks. I think everyone deserves a place where they feel loved, cared for, respected, safe, comfortable, and free. Everyone deserves a place they can call home. I like my home because I am surrounded by people I enjoy like my mom, dad, sister, and my neighbors. In my home my family and I teach Bible sermons to each other every day, and I love it when we eat my mothers Eritrean food, and share about our day. In my home I feel invincible like I can do anything. I have two homes, my first home is my literal house. My second home is a soccer field. Sometimes we tend to think we can only have one home, but that is not true. We can have as many homes as we like. To help me remember what home means, and what I should feel at home I made an acronym. The acronym is FLCS. The F stands for free, the L stands for loved, the C stands for creative, and the S stands for safe. This is what I think home means. I hope you have enjoyed reading my writing piece.
