Something That's Apart of Me
Dear Habitant for Humanity,
What home means to me is a place where I can go when I am feeling down. I can go sit down and talk about it with the people I love. When I was two years old I came to Canada from Sudan. I thought Sudan was my home until I came here. When I came to Canada I was confused, because of different lifestyles. But for me, home is a place where I feel loved, welcomed, and a Christ-centered place. I love God, because He gave me anything I could ask for like a wonderful family who loves me. I am also thankful for some food, a bed, and shelter. I am thankful for my family because they are with me through my ups and downs. All that I have is because of God. God knows the plans He has for me declares the Lord! Plans to help me grow in faith, but not to harm me because I have hope in God. I am lucky I get to go to an amazing school where I can learn and grow in God. Also, I am happy to go to this school because, I can enter this wonderful contest to help people who need a safe home. Let's talk about my miracle sister. When I was four I lost my grandfather to cancer. I saw the sadness in my mom's eyes. But not for long, because ten days later my little sister Sham was born. If I am being honest, she was my world and I was happy she was here. In this world there are so many things to be grateful for. Like having food, a bed, lots of groceries to stay fed. Thank-you, Habitant for Humanity. THE END!
