My Home

People can describe their home in other ways than me. For me it’s like hitting a big wall of relief or love driving through my driveway. I always see my sheep running around in their pen and I see my dog Belle running towards the car. When I go out, she always greets me with a warm smile and her white tail wagging so aggressively she is shaking all the snow off her. She walks me up to the door after she sniffs the rest of the people who got out of the car. When the rest of us get into the house she goes to our other front door and gives us her side eye (which is so ADORBBLE!) through the glass window. When we get home from school it’s usually around suppertime so, me or my sister, Alyssa, set the table and we sit down to eat. When I sit down, I smell the food we’re about to eat and feel the warmth of our hot food. We usually eat as a family. When we eat, I sometimes look out our back door to see the stop sign blinking, sometimes cars or a blow truck driving with their lights on and my beautiful landscape. A whole lot of times we laugh at supper over what happened that day or what they’re doing. Mostly it’s Alyssa who makes us laugh. When we laugh, we have joy in it. If it’s a weekend we always watch a movie or play a bord game. On weekends there is no bedtime but no past midnight. At the end of the day, I squirmed into my bed and think about the day I just have, from start to finish. That is my point of view of my house.
