What is Home When I think of home, it is not just a building. It is a feeling. Home is where you feel loved, cared for and accepted. When I’m at home, I see my dad smiling at me and making jokes. I also see the candles my mom lights up when I’m cold. My mom’s hugs when I feel sad make me feel warm and safe. Even my mom’s delicious cooking makes me feel home too. Home is very powerful. It protects you for all your dangers outside. All your threats that make you feel unsafe. Home is like a shield that nobody can steal from you. Home is like my warm bed. It is soft and cozy. It is also the sounds of laughter and joy. You feel immensely cared for even if you make a mistake. You feel understood in every single way. Home isn’t a place. You carry it around in your heart.
