the meaning of home

Home is the place that you can go home after a long day and feel comfortable. Home is the place where I always feel special. Home is the place where I always feel safe. Home is my shelter. Home is the place my loved ones are. Its not just four walls, it’s a home. My mom cooks food for me as I sit in the living room waiting for it to be done. The living room is where my sister always is. She plays with her toys as they trail behind her, her forts filling the room. The kitchen is where my mom cooks my comfort food for me. My room is where I spend most of my day in. I lay in my bed as I watch my tv, then I fall asleep. My blankets wrapping me. My closet is where my clothes are. My shirts, pants, and socks. The entryway is where people knock on the door. I don’t know who it is till I open it. Its always a surprise. I open it and its Farrah, my best friend, asking to hang out. I say yes. The entryway is also where our shoes and coats are, ready for adventure. The complex I live in is full of excitement. Kids playing on the playground at the top of the road. I live on a small, lonely road in the complex. It has 6 houses with bustling family’s watching shows in their living rooms. In the summertime I play in the sprinkler in our tiny front yard. My sister scared to get in the water while I play. I try to get her in, she says no. I lay in the back yard tanning as my sister asks to play. I say no.
