My Home ( :

At home, I hear the electricity flowing through the wall I hear my brothers murmuring in their rooms I hear music on the radio, usually country or music from the 70s or 80s I hear a spray bottle being sprayed on the mirror As my dad wipes it clean At home, I feel warm I feel loved I feel calm I feel heard At home, I taste mango I smell donuts and cookies when they are freshly baked Sometimes, I smell something my dad burns on the stove, sizzle! sizzle! I smell smoke when my brother burns chocolate in the microwave At home, I see my bed I see my bunny sitting in the corner I see my brother ignoring me I see my books I see my desk At home, I remember my mom burning tree syrup and letting our cat go outside, and he never came back
