Meaning of Home

Home isn’t just a structure. It’s a place to make memories, like when I came home from school and when I walked in, I smelled my mom’s most delicious soup. Then my dog came running towards me and then pounced on me like a tiny cute little rabbit and started licking me everywhere on my face. When he calmed down, he was sitting on my lap chewing his bone and smiling at me when my dog was done. Home is when my dad was teaching me the ukulele. When we were playing a song, he made up I messed up but we didn’t take it negatively, we took it positively and then started laughing at the top of the stairs. Home is when my family and I were celebrating Castor Day [it’s a made-up holiday with our last names]. We were playing Marco Polo. I was hiding under our piano and my dad was it. When he was walking towards my sister, she jumped over the couch and then my dad started walking faster towards her. Then she got caught by my dad. Thank you, Habitat, For Humanity, for supporting other families so they can have a future of their own.
