More Than Four Walls

What really is the meaning of home? A home doesn’t have to be a place with walls and a roof. Home can come in any form, it just has to be a place where you feel protected and loved. Home is where people really see you for who you are and accept you for it no matter what. Home could be at school when you are spending time with your friends,or playing basketball with your older brother. Home could even be at your cabin when you are paddleboarding in the water with your friends and you just get that feeling that you really belong. To me home is spending time with the people who make you feel important. Like those small moments that build your life, like laughing with your family while watching a movie, or when you are hanging out with your friends and you know that you are safe and can be yourself. Home could even be multiple places. Home could be at your school or maybe at your grandparent’s house. Home could even be at a park or maybe at a basketball court. Home doesn’t have to be somewhere you always go to, it just has to be a place that you can go to when you are happy, excited, and even sad. To me home is a place that you can go no matter how you are feeling and you know that you will be supported and loved. So to me home just has to be where your heart is.
