The Meaning of Home

A house is a building with four walls and a roof. A home is a meaningful place to make memories. A house is a place where you eat and sleep. A home is a place of love and hope. A place to get away from the hardships of life. A house is lonely and as quiet as a mouse. But a home is full of laughing and scampering. A house can be sad, but a home is welcoming and joyful. Sounds of chattering can be heard from every room. At night a house can be cold and sad. But a home is full of joy and hugs. Everywhere you look a loving sensation fills the air. A house is empty and lacking hope. But a home is always filled with happy memories and hope. A home is not sad. It is always worth making memories out of. Smells of delicious cooking waft out from the kitchen. In a house people ignore each other and nobody seems to be happy. In a home everybody is happy and they talk and laugh. The kids play games and the adults chat. Home has warmth like a hug and peace like a soft wind. That is the difference between a house and a home.
