What Home Means to Me
Have you ever seen yourself having a bad day at school but when you walk through your house doors it feels like normal all over again?
This is the same feeling for me.
Walking through the doors of my house isn't the same as walking through the doors of any other house. Together, with my family members. We make our best memories and do our traditions and speak our language.
Firstly, to me, home means making memories with the people I know. It’s not also just the big milestones/memories. It’s also the small ones.
Secondly, home also means the weekends. Going to restaurants, having fun, going outside, This makes me happier every day even when I'm not having such a great morning.
Thirdly, home also means celebrating traditions. Whether it is Eid or Ramadan, it always makes up for that day. Celebrating traditions isn't also just about itself. It's also about the memories we create together when we celebrate them.
In the end, for me, my home isn't just a normal house or walls and roofs. It's where I belong. Where I celebrate I mostly grew up. And no matter what. Home will always be the place where I belong.
