Home is not just where I sleep at night. Home is not just a place. Home is not just a building. Cut off from the outside lies a world designed just for you. As you enter through the front door, you can smell freshly baked banana bread. As home wraps you in a deep hug so warm and snug, there is no need to shrug. Going up the light brown stairs, you drown in an ocean of comfort; you do everything but frown. Up, up, up as you go, you'll feel like Super Mario. No Bowser, no Goombas, just the sweet taste of golden mushrooms and the soft comfort of Luigi. You go into your room. In front of you, you find the most reliable thing in the world, your bed. You go every night with no worries or frights. You know it will keep you safe. Home for me feels like late-night movies, curled up on the couch with my dog and my family. Home is baking chocolate chip muffins, with my dog eating whatever falls on the ground. Home is the place where I feel the most comfortable and safe.
