Home not House

For me, home is a special place with hope and warmth and holds all of your meaningful memories. As well as a welcoming family and where I belong. In your kitchen, where your favorite meals are being cooked, is the amazing scent of savory and freshness! Sitting at the dinner table eating the delicious food while sharing stories is an amazing, pleasurable feeling. Asking “How was your day?” in the living room. Storytelling and enjoying the times with your family while playing board games. Appreciating the moments while you are lounging on the sofa with a good book. In your room, with a bed like a cloud, you’re leaning back into your pillow while watching your favorite TV show or reading a book. You open your dresser and see all the clothes that express yourself. A house is not the same thing as a home. Home is where the heart is held, where I feel like I belong and am feeling understood. Home is always in your heart.
