A House And A Home Are Two Very Different Things
A house is different than a home. A house can be empty, but a home is always full of happy memories. A house is just plain walls, but a home is more about the loving feelings inside. A house is just a house, just bricks, until a new family moves in, and it becomes a home. A house is full of replaceable furniture, but a home is full of an irreplaceable family. A house’s foundation is made of hard cement, but a home’s foundation is made of the happiness and laughter of you and your family. A house might have your things, but the most important part of a home is your amazing family.
When you picture a typical house, you might see a building with a red roof, a beautiful green yard, and clear windows. But when you picture a home, you think about your family, and how much you love them, and how much they love you back, no matter what. I’m grateful to Habitat for Humanity for giving more and more families a place to live and create a home.
