This is What Home Means to Me

I wake up in the morning to the wonderful smell of delicious pancakes lathered in maple syrup. This makes me feel safe and loved by my family. This is what home means to me. When I was little being alone scared me but when I was with my family I felt safe and loved and It felt like nothing could stop me. My family is always there for me if I need help or even just need someone to talk to,however me and my brothers fight a lot and sometimes it makes it really hard to have fun with them. My home feels welcoming and comforting even in hard times, for example sometimes when i’m sad or mad I will go to my room and read until I’m calmed down but sometimes my parents or one of my brothers will come up and try to comfort me and ask what's wrong or invite me to play with them. Sometimes when I am alone I feel sad because I really don’t like to be alone but they get back and I’m as happy as can be,in addition my parents make the best food on the face of the planet. My home is small but I like it and think it’s really comfortable. When the holidays come around me and my family are very festive, and my family is very kind. All in all that's what home means to me.
