Meaning of My Home

Have you ever thought about how lucky you are? Well maybe after reading this you will more often. Even if you don’t realize it, you and I are extremely lucky and are very fortunate to live in a safe place. Here are a few more reasons why we should appreciate the homes we live in today. This is also what my home means to me. First, being able to live with a roof over our heads is one very important aspect of a home. It protects us from the rain and the dangerous weather that we see today. Second, we live in a safe environment with family and friends. A lot of people aren’t as welcomed into the family as we are. Our homes are made out of LOVE, meanwhile some other people's houses are made out of bricks. Third, in the winter we stay warm and dry; therefore, in the summer we stay nice and cool. We are privileged to stay inside not worrying about the weather. Our parents have to pay the electricity bill, so be thankful that you’re at a comfortable temperature. Lastly, we should always think about how we treat our home, but most importantly, how we treat our parents. We want to show them that we can be kind and helpful. Our happiness will set the mood when we walk in and it’ll radiate on to our families, so keep being happy! I hope that after reading this you’ll think more about how lucky you are to live under a roof, drink water and have a home made out of love. Also, I hope you learned what you should value in your home.
