The Meaning of Home

Home isn’t just anything. It is more than walls, windows, and a roof. Home is the place where people feel safe and hopeful. It is where family members come together at the end of the day, and where dreams quietly begin. Home isn’t just anything, but it shapes who we become. Now I will tell you how I observe my home. To me, home feels like a soft secret whispered into my ear. It is the one place where I can truly be myself. When I step inside, the warmth of my family reaches out to pull me into a hug. Home isn’t just anything. It is a sturdy shield that protects me from the wind and rain. Unfortunately, some families don’t have this feeling. They might move around a lot or live in places that are breaking down. Now that’s where I thank Habitat for Humanity for raising money to build homes for families that can have the same feeling as me.
