Home is Like a Ship

Home is like a ship. It means much more than a brick building to me.Home is a place where love surrounds, Where you go to feel safe, happy, and secure.Take this. Me and my family's experiences together are like building blocks. We stack a block each time we have fun.It's like we add another block and that builds a big tower . Right in my dining room ,we eat breakfast, lunch and dinner , and we talk to each other about our day. Sometimes my family's words give me courage, joy, and hope for the future .My mom and dad's cooking is scrumptious. Smelling the warm, toasty, buttery air while they're cooking just gives me a feeling of security and care. In our living room there's a really soft and fluffy rug where I sometimes fall asleep on.Look at our couch. It's so cozy ,doughy,and cushy. This is where we watch movies, share stories and enjoy family time. Some days we even share jokes which make all of us laugh. My brother's jokes are the best. We also have a keyboard. I love playing songs there. When it's time for bed and no more to be said we get ready to hit the sack. We brush our teeth, put on our PJs, and wish each other good night.Some nights I look outside and I see the dazzling Northern Lights. They bring me so much peace and joy. The mornings in summer time I hear the birds chirping and the cool wind flowing through my window. But in winter I love watching the snow getting blown off of my neighbor's roof. My home is a special place. Nothing can take that away from me because money cannot buy happiness. My home is a hoard of memories , gifts, love and special events in my life that I would never want to let go. No matter what in the world you would give me. My family and home mean the most to me . If I get sick, my parents tell me to get some rest. My mom makes me tea and soup and they hope I get better soon. When I get back to 100%, my family is so happy wait to come back together again . My home is a place where I can get accepted for who I am and no matter what anyone else says my family will always love me and no matter what this world wants me to think about myself my family will always be there to help me . Home is like a ship. It has a compass that always points to family and love. It has an anchor that tells me when to slow down and relax. It's where my life unfolds, and it's the engine of my family.That has never stopped ,and will never stop running. My home is my small community that grows every single day , and it's just getting started .
