My Happy Place

Home is the cozy feeling of being loved. It is where loved ones make astonishing memories with me. It is the comforting feeling of thinking I’m safe and that there is no harm in the world around me. Home is full of emotions that reflect the mood around me. If my little brother is laughing, I might want to join in too! If my parents had a bad day at work, I would feel sorry for them and try my very best to help them feel better. Home is when the most magical moments in my life happen and begin. It is when I feel like I am on the top of the world and no one can stop me from being the best that I can be. It is when I share my love and joy with my family and they will return it to me! When I walk into the door frame of my house I am greeted with the miraculous feeling I was never gone. The feeling of having a bad day but being able to go make to the home that I recognize is unbelievable. I feel like my bad day was just a dream! I walk into the backyard where I see my little brother chasing our pet cat Baxter. I laugh and join in too! I knew we would never catch him, but it was the moment with my brother that counted. Home is not the place that shelters me, it is the feeling of being safe, loved, and spending time with my family. Home is where memories are made, where you have fun and where you feel joy.
