The Meaning of home Some people think that a home has to be a house or an apartment but this is not always the case. A home is usually somewhere like your house but this is not the only meaning of home. Home can be, or mean almost anything. Home can and is usually a place of safety and usually family. Now, sometimes home is not always a place of all good things. It can also be a place of bad things. Of course this is not always the case. Most people like me and my family are living well because our home is a safe place. When I am inside of my home I feel safe which is important because when you feel safe you also feel comfortable and calm. Sometimes you can also realise just how nice the environment around you is and it can make you feel thankful. However in an unsafe home you will not feel comfortable. Unfortunately some people who live in places like old apartment buildings and over crowded houses sometimes have these problems. Thankfully, me and everyone I know are fortunate because we live in safe homes. Something that is really important to have in a home is safety because in my opinion if the place you are staying at is not safe it does not really feel like home. However I am like my friends who all have loving families and safe homes. To me, safety means calmness and security and it can also mean things like having a loving family. Some people do not feel safe with the people around them, this can be a big problem because it can lead to negative emotions. For example if a kid does not feel safe in his own home this can cause anger and sadness. If these people do not learn how they should be treated they can then end up treating others the same way. This is obviously not a good thing because it can cause issues for other people. In conclusion, home can mean anything to many people, even if it is not safe and comfortable it is still your home. To me home means safety, comfortability and family. I really hope that at least most people in the world have nice, safe, and comfortable homes and if not I really hope that they figure out a way to make it work or at least make it livable.
