HOME SWEET HOME

Have you ever heard the saying ‘home is where the heart is’? Probably, right? But, have you ever stopped to think about what home means to you? To me home is a special place filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. It's a place where experiences are created! One of my favorite memories at home is celebrating my birthday. Each year we celebrate my birthday with cake, presents and we just have a fun time. But, it's not about the presents you receive but the memories that are shared. Memories that stick with you forever! Although home is a physical place with four walls and a few beds, it's also an emotional place. A place that you carry in your heart. Where you overcome and express yourself to your family. You feel a sense of safety and trust at home, the kind you don't feel anywhere else. Face it most kids don't enjoy discipline, but it is important. Well guess what, home is where we learn it. Which later on will help us learn and teach us life skills that we need later on in life. I don't know the feeling of moving from one house to another and making a house into a home and I just don't get how people do it! At home we are familiar with each other and our surroundings. We have friends that we know and we're close too. How do you leave a place that you hold the greatest memories from and that you love dearly? So, home is where your family loves you. Where you can just be you. And where you can feel a sense of love, comfort, and security. That right there is what home means to me!
