Home
Do you have a comfort zone, or just that one spot you love? Sometimes it may be at school, or maybe at the park. But one of the places you can find the most joy, warmth and comfort, is home.
“What is home to you?”
It can be anything. But the first thing I think of in my mind, is that one place where I immediately feel happiness, feel important and feel safe. What I think of, is my personal shelter, my own home. It’s full of love, care and respect, and that’s what people need to feel, no matter where they are, or who they’re with. To me, home is a place that holds memories, good and bad, a space shared with family and friends, being yourself, and simply having fun. Of course, there are emotional moments, but I always focus on the good times that are worth cherishing, as I’m surrounded with people who I care about.
Home isn’t always just a house either. It can be a certain location you enjoy going to by yourself, or spending time with a person. There can be someone that may not have a shelter, and they might just have a cardboard box, for example. Even something small can be their everything, that is their personal definition of home.
At the end of the day, home probably just means the house, or the shelter you live under. But, for me, home is a word that holds such a careful and heartwarming meaning.
“Home is where the heart is”
