My Version of Home

To me, home is a remarkable place. When most people think about how to build a house, they think that you need bricks and flooring and all that stuff. NOT ME! I am the type of person who thinks of a family, memories, pictures on the wall, and all the family inside jokes. But most importantly, my dog. Ever since I got her 3 years ago, life has been different. When I come home from school, I always have someone to greet me at the door, when I am sad at least, she is happy and wagging her tail, and of course someone who always like to hog my entire bed. I am an only child. But to be completely honest with you, my dog, Taylor, feels more like a sibling than a pet dog to me. I guess what I am trying to say is she is what makes my home, home. I also cannot forget about my spectacular parents. Most people do not appreciate all the tiny things your parents do for you, like doing the laundry, making your bed, and even just taking out the trash. I think that my home would not be a home without my mom, dad, and, of course, my dog. Home is my headquarters; no matter where I go during the day, I will always come back to the same place every night for a good night’s sleep with the people and things I love.
