Home isn’t just walls. It’s a happy place. Have you ever wondered what home means? Maybe it means being in a safe place, or a place where you can relax, or maybe it means something else to you. Home is a place where we can make mistakes, a place where we laugh, and a place to have fun. 4 walls isn’t all it is, it’s what we feel inside the heart. The food that your mom or dad makes, the smell of your pet or siblings, the pictures on the wall that you see everyday. Imagine your pet waiting and running up to you at the door. Think of the hugs your parents want to give you, toys and clothes they buy for you. Home doesn’t have to be where you live, it can be where you dance, take swimming lessons, even school. A house on the other hand, is very different from a home. It’s where we don’t feel comfortable nor happy, it feels like you don’t have enough joy to laugh, or emotions to feel anything. All you feel is a blank feeling, like there’s no answer to a question, it’s just empty. I just want you to know that wherever your home is, there is always love, kindness, safeness, and hope, and I don’t want you to feel like you live in a house, I want you to feel like you are in a home.
