The Feeling of Home

Home isn’t just a place it's a feeling too. Home is walking through the door to see your pets eagerly awaiting your arrival. It’s the way you feel when you lay on the couch after a long day. To me home is walking down the stairs to the smell of freshly baked cookies. It is also a place to unwind and relax with your family. Home is a way to express yourself, be who you are. Home is love, home is laughter. is the place where you can truly be who you are. A home is a place where you can grow, a place where you can feel new feelings. Home is family, Home is a true friend, Home is the place with beginnings and ends. When you're at home you feel safe, where you're far away from feeling hurt. A place where you are loved. When I get home from school I feel loved. I can see the tiny details that make a house a home. I can see my pets, two cats and two dogs.I can smell dinner as it cooks, hear the sizzling on the pan. Home is my place to feel my feelings, home is my place to relax, to unwind, to be who I want to be. Home is a place to learn from my mistakes. Home is a place to think about the day. Home is a peaceful place, a place where families grow. How I feel at home is up to me to decide because home to me might be different from someone else. Home is not just a place, home is what is inside, what you feel, what you do is what makes a home. It is a place but also a feeling too.
