The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home can mean a lot of things to people, the meaning of home is different to everyone. So here is the meaning of home to me. Home is a place where I can rest and relax after a long day. I can hang out with my cats, Davy, Greg, Corey and Rocky and play with them. I can feel safe and happy at home. I can play games with my parents, and my friends. I like how I can read in my room. I like being able to read all the books I have. But I haven’t mentioned my favourite thing I can do in my home; my backyard. I can jump rope, which is really fun even though I’m not that good at it. I have a trampoline which I use mostly in the summer and spring or maybe fall too if it’s not too cold out. I like doing front flips on it and I’m pretty good at doing them. I can sometimes do side flips too but I’m not as good at them. But inside my house has a bunch of my parent’s old books, I don’t really read them too much but my favorite one of theirs is a Garfield book which has a ton of Garfield comics in it. I think of my friend whenever I see it because she likes him. There’s also a Shakesphere book that my mom got in high school on a field trip but I’ve never seen her look at it or touch it so it just sits there to be honest. I feel happy when I come home from school mainly because I’m not at school and I can see my cats. I’m grateful for the amazing home and family I have.
