Hope

I had trouble at school with friends. It was hard. BUT I knew that when the school bell rang it was time; time to go to my house. It isn’t an ordinary house, it’s my HOME. When I walk in, all I see are big warm and welcoming smiles everywhere! My heart fills up with hope, love and comfort. I smell good food that came right from the oven. I wonder is it steak with potatoes or maybe even cake?! Then we’ll all go around the table and thank God for the good food we are about to eat. After that, we watch a movie or even do some thing little like cuddling by the fire that keeps us warm. Then it’s time to go to sleep in my bed with the fire still on and blankets all over me. I fall a sleep in my warm and cozy home. A home with laughter, love, joy and hope. The next day, I wake up and put my backpack on for school. But this time with a comforted, warm and happy smile on my face. I’m so grateful to have a home to make memories, love and hope. I’m so happy for Habitat for Humanity to put hope and joy in other people’s lives.
