Home in my Heart
Home doesn’t mean a place to move in and live in till you move again. Home is about the people that you feel safe with, the people you can go to talk about your problems and your dreams.
My home is a safe place to be me in my own funny crazy way. At home, I can be calm and quiet or loud and noisy. There is always someone to go and play with or to share my amazing ideas.
At my home, there are lots of activities going on. I have two siblings, one older and one younger, I have a mom and a dad. When I arrive at home, my mom is in the kitchen making yummy food. My sister and brother are playing Roblox games. My dad watches sports. At the table we talk about our day as we each take turns; we munch on our dinner. Later after dinner we sit and watch tv. We watch movies and tv shows, mostly funny stuff.
I feel safe, calm, and comfortable at home. When I'm tired, I get ready for bed. I brush my teeth and climb into bed. I read a little and say goodnight, then I fall asleep getting ready for the morning.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving families a home for their needs. I hope that more families can get a home that they feel safe in and get to do their everyday activities in.
