My Home

Home is a place where I feel wanted and loved. It’s not just where I live; it’s a place where I make wonderful and everlasting memories with my family. Home can be anywhere. If you feel like you belong, that is home. In our family room, we make a lot of memories. My sisters and I enjoy talking. We spend hours chatting and laughing about our friends and what happens at school. We never get bored. We also like playing board games. Sometimes we argue about the rules, and sometimes we think others are playing unfairly. However, we always solve the problem in the end. Whether we are laughing or arguing, we turn these moments into memories that we will cherish forever. When we finish talking or playing games, no matter what, we always have a smile on our faces. After having a bad day, I feel down and just want to go home. The frown on my face immediately turns into a huge smile when I hear my family welcoming me and smell the mouth-watering food my grandma is cooking. I say to myself, “I am home.” With my family’s unconditional support and comforting food, my heart feels full and my body becomes strong. I am ready to overcome anything. Home is my sanctuary, where I feel loved and safe. Wherever I go and whatever I do, the memories I make with my family will accompany me along the way. My home will always be in my heart.
